We have to hand it to everyone who’s submitted jeans to us lately. The quality has been so high that it’s been seriously hard to choose our Fade Friday candidates! Jake Gillespie’s nearly 3-year-old Unbranded UB221’s are a remarkable pair in their own right and were a definite runner-up for the cherished end of the week spot.
Be it slangin’ bales of hay in the stables or hiking in the foothills, Jake has logged plenty of hard wearing hours with this pair. Fades have developed nicely throughout, but the most unique character comes from his pocket watch fade and whiskers at the lower thigh.
The color loss has been totally perfect: just the right amount of indigo retention throughout while having some patches of extra loss, highlighting those great fades. Give ’em one more year and they’ll be Fade Friday material for sure!
