Fade of the Day – Atelier LaDurance Prescott Sterling (14 Years, Unknown Washes)

Anytime we receive Fade of the Day submissions with wear time in the double digits, we know we are in for a treat. Brace yourselves for this one folks – an insane pair of patched up Atelier LaDurance Prescott Sterlings clocking in at 14 years of solid wear and plenty of repairs.

Even the long-time Heddels readers with extra sharp memories most likely won’t recall seeing a similar jeans way back in 2012 as a featured Fade Friday, as they have transformed from a well-worn pair of jeans to a denim sashiko masterpiece over the last four years.

Worn by Cyriel Marijnissen of the Netherlands, he confesses that he fell in love with sashiko-style repairs shortly after his Heddels debut, and never stopped wearing his favorite pair of jeans since. Most of the repairs seen were made by Pey at SashikoDenim. One thing is for sure, if they are ever retired, they will sure look great hanging on a wall as a piece of worn-out denim art.
