It’s time for Fade Of The Day, and we have a pair of well-worn Nudie High Kai on our hands, submitted by Joseph Andrew of Indonesia. As a member of the Southeast-Asian denim forum Darahkubiru, Joseph is clearly passionate about denim, and has stayed committed to this pair of Nudies for almost three years, earning him some admirable fades.
We don’t know how Joseph achieved his fades, but we do know the super-slim fit has led to some incredibly straight and tight honeycombs. Most of the indigo dye has survived the Indonesian climate, one wash and four soaks, but the lap has almost faded to white and you can just about see some faint whiskers and creasing down the thighs.
The crotch looks to have been repaired already, and the right knee may have bust through, but it doesn’t looked like Joseph will be hanging these up just yet.
