Knickerbocker MFG. Co. 4oz. Japanese Indigo Plaid Dude Shirt

“This is not ‘Nam. This is Bowling. There are rules.” – Walter Sobchak

See, the thing about bowling is you gotta leave your Margiela and Jeremy Scott at home, man. Your mind has to be one with the pins, not your shirt, so something low-key and comfortable is good form. That’s rule number one.

Knickerbocker MFG Co. throws a seven ten split by referencing one of our favorite movies and one our favorite sports in one go. Inspired by The Big Lebowski, The Dude Shirt is in the traditional camp-style button down vein that has been adopted by bowlers the world over for its easy-wearing, non-constrictive nature. And this one maintains these functions with a straight fit, side vents for comfort at the waist, and double pleats at the back yoke.  The 4oz. Japanese indigo yarn-dyed plaid fabric is made from Tex 40 color match thread and the shirt’s constructed with felled seams. For additional charm, the label is produced on a 1950s needle loom.

A note of caution, however: this shirt has not been pre-shrunk so buy and launder appropriately.

Can be found at Manready Mercantile for $185.
