The folks at Blue Blue Japan are indigo-obsessed. To drive that point home, ‘blue’ is in their name twice, just in case you forgot about it the first time. Their latest crockable creation is the Short Sleeve Bassen Indigo-Dyed Blooming Sakura Print Shirt, and it’s what you get when you combine a denimhead with a dad on vacation (and also let that dad name it).
The fabric is made of 100% lyocell, a material that’s manufactured from wood pulp, so it feels like traditional Hawaiian shirts that are made of rayon. While the lyocell fabric is dyed in indigo, the sakura pattern is relief-printed onto the fabric. Wear it to the beach while you ocean wash your jeans, or to the local Hawaiian barbecue spot to scarf down some loco moco.
