Fade of the Day – Pure Blue Japan KS-013-ST (6 Months, 3 Washes)

To all the 100% cotton purists out there, stretch denim needs lovin’ too! This pair of Pure Blue Japan KS-013-STs have been worn for the last six months by Peter Mccue while working in a family-owned feed shop in New Jersey, and although they’re young, their true colors are really starting to show.

From feed dust to dirt, mud and everything in between, Pete tells us he needs to wash his jeans often to keep them wearable. He also says the slight bit of stretch makes all the difference for a job that requires him to squat and bend all day long, picking up and moving feed bags—and racking up some solid fades along the way. In just a short six months we can already see signs of whiskers forming and some solid fades through the seat and back pocket seams. The potential is there, so long as he keeps them working.
