Shoes Like Pottery Shifts Into Maximum Overdye With Their Natural Indigo High Top Sneakers

Remember that viral video of the “grape lady” who falls off the deck while stomping around in a barrel of grapes to make wine? She wasn’t wearing any shoes at all, but if she was, and was squishing a bunch of indigo plants rather than grapes, her shoes would probably look like the new Shoes Like Pottery x Blue Owl Workshop collaboration 01JBP High Top Sneakers.

Meticulously constructed in Japan before being dipped blue on Seattle by Blue Owl themselves, there’s a lot going on with these shoes. Shoes Like Pottery lives up to their name with their vulcanization process, using an ancient Japanese technique called Ka-ryu that involves firing the outsoles in a kiln, producing a unique and completely individualized texture and finish. To top it off, they reinforced the heels and toes and added a comfy cushioned footbed, along with eight brass eyelets. The natty indigo will fade just like your favorite blue jeans, so you can get faded from the waist down on a daily basis.

Available for $235 at Blue Owl Workshop.
