Fade of the Day – Brave Star Selvage Slim Taper 2.0 (2 Years, 2 Soaks)

There’s nothing like finding a pair of blue jeans you can count on, then stocking up on them to make sure your legs are always covered. That’s exactly the case with today’s Fade of the Day–a nicely worn pair of Brave Star Selvage Slim Taper 2.0 worn by Jordan Letzring of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Jordan tells us that he owns several pairs of Brave Stars, and has kept them all in a regular wear rotation over the last two years. This pair in particular was constructed from a unique Cone Mills denim with an orange and white selvedge ID, and they’ve been worn all over the USA, from coast to coast, and still have only seen water two times in the form of soaks.

There are some rich blue fades occurring throughout, with the beginnings of some nicely formed whiskers and knee fades. The honeycombs are set and look promising, but the most wear on these jeans has occurred around the pockets. Jordan has made one home repair with some canvas and hand stitching to the rear pocket, and can be found anytime carrying a Susan B. Anthony and Eisenhower dollar in his coin pocket. It’s not every day you see a watch pocket used for carrying such heavy-duty coins.
