Fade Friday – Elhaus Warbonnet (16 Months, 4 Washes, 1 Soak)

Heddels reader Eka’s pair of Elhaus Warbonnet’s look so good after just 16 months of wear that we had to present them to all as our distinguished Fade Friday!

You may remember this pair from a Fade of the Day in January and a Fade Friday feature in March, well Eka’s daily wear jean lives on. While working in data entry and customer service in Bandung, Indonesia, the level of fading on display really makes you wonder how laborious his kind of data entry is.

The super dynamic range of fading is at its peak in the front of the jean, particularly where the thighs have almost fully bled out, allowing for some really spectacular dark shadowing of the whiskers at the inner thigh. Below the knee that nearly fully leeched out indigo looks to be almost in brand new form as it quickly snaps back to a deep and dark tone. On the back is the clear winner of the jean, those marvelously marbled honeycombs. Nicely thick and defined, yet still tightly compact, those are honeycombs many yearn for, yet seldom achieve.
