A nice veg tanned piece never gets old, as proven by today’s Fade of the Day, an Il Bisonte Coin Purse coming over to us from Clifford Lo in Hong Kong. After two years of use, it has aged nicely and has a lot of character.

Clifford’s daily use has created an almost reddish hue, which has visually mixed well with some burnishing on the edges and the texture of the cowhide. It can also be surmised that consistent pressure from being worn in a pocket—and from the carrying of coins and other small items—have added to the imprinting and overall exterior texture of the leather. This piece is well-maintained with plenty of life left, meaning Clifford, unlike many of us, will never need to worry about not having exact change.
