Knickerbocker and Curious Corners Combine for an Indigo Beanie

A word to the wise: this is the year to retire your long beanie to the mantle. Please. That longer beanie — the one that delicately framed your hairline as its crown flopped recklessly to the back — is now this years Christmas stocking. And thankfully for you, they stretch plenty — so tons of stocking stuffers for yourself. And thankfully for the rest of us, it’s filled with stuffers, not your head. The classic, trend-proof US Navy watch cap, however, is the beanie that can’t be beat. But, if you were to tell me of a hand dip-dyed indigo version of that same watch cap was floating around, I may have to amend that statement…

Well that was quick. Brooklyn’s Knickerbocker snatched up a few of their 100% cotton, New-Jerseymade watch caps and took them on over to their neighbors at Curious Corners for a baptism by indigo. (For those wondering, Curious Corners used to be Buaisou, and are the same respected Japanese natural indigo collective, just without my running doubts over pronunciation.)

Each beanie has been hand-dyed with Yamato indigo, and will display a pleasing variation of mid-blue. Also a positive, Yamato indigo is sold in kits by CC, so you could always whip up a batch and dye it again on your own if the fades become too drastic.

And you never know, it might just show up in your new stocking.

Just $42 at Curious Corners.
