Fade of the Day – Gustin Okayama Standard (15 Months, 3 Soaks)

Today’s Fade Of The Day is a pair of Gustin Okayama Standards sent in by France’s Max Lamer. He’s had these jeans for just over a year and they’re looking quite respectable already.

We’ve never been ones to get hung up on the gnarliest of fades. Sure, heavily-faded pairs certainly look great, but fade extremists run the risk of forgetting just how great a pair of jeans can look with that simple recipe of time and wear. Max’s pair is a great example. While the fades aren’t especially contrasted and the denim isn’t super rare, these jeans are a thing of beauty.

His pair has developed over time into the quintessential good looking pair of jeans. You can find great whiskers up front from the waist line through the thigh and some nicely formed honeycombs in back. This is a pair of jeans  a young Bruce Springsteen would happily wear on an album cover or on stage and if it’s good enough for “The Boss” it should be good enough for you.
