Japanese denim stalwart, Samurai, has issued their own version of the classic French M47 military jacket, cousin of sorts to the US Army’s classic M65.
Available in either their 10oz. Sword Selvedge denim or in their 11oz. cotton piqué in olive, the once-washed jackets hold on to most of the iconic details from the original, like a spread collar with single-buttoned closure, hidden storm collar, covered placket, internal drawstring cinch waist, gusseted flap pockets at the waist, flapped chest pockets with button closures, and a buttoned cuff. New to these jackets, aside from the aforementioned fabrics, is the natural cotton sashiko pocket bags, nut buttons throughout, removal of the epaulets (shoutout Samurai), and a slightly more contemporary fit.
Available for ¥32000 (~300$USD) at Denimio.
