Fade of the Day – Levi’s 501 STF Cone Selvedge (3 Years, 4 Washes, 2 Soaks)

C0ne Mills’ White Oak plant is gone, but their denim still lives on out there in the wide world, and today’s Fade of the Day is a morsel of that for you.

This pair of Levi’s 501 STF Cone Mills denim jeans come to us from John Worgul of Pittsburgh, Pa. He originally bought them in Santa Monica, moved to Manhattan Beach, and then to the Burgh. He says they’re one of two regular pairs in his jeans rotation.

He started off just soaking them, but after the 2.5-year mark he began washing them and does so whenever they’re dirty now. At 3 years of wear they look solid, though have needed repairs to the back left pocket, crotch, and hem. Still, they seem to have lots of fight left in them yet!
