Fade Friday – The Strike Gold 2105 (1.5 Years, 3 Washes, 2 Soaks)

Fade Friday is here again! Today we’re being schooled in achieving the perfect honeycombs by Federico Malvin from Indonesia. These ‘2105’ jeans from The Strike Gold have the works – just look at those spot-on fades and whiskers.

Federico bought this pair just 18 months ago, wearing them constantly during college and then while working for our friends Warpweft Company after graduating. The secret to how Federico got those enviable electric-blue fades (after just three washes and two soaks!) is that this 17oz. style comes in loomstate form, so the denim ages quicker and yields cool high-contrast details swiftly.

Of course, a strong Fade Friday isn’t complete without a couple of repairs, and on closer inspection, we can see they’ve been neatly darned at the crotch and back pocket, but still look like they have plenty of life left in them yet!
