Tanner Goods continue to use Konbu fabric in their small soft goods, the Universal Zip Wallet is now clad in Navy konbu, so you can rest assured your EDC is guarded with a tough and adaptable fabric. We’ve covered konbu before, but if you’re unfamiliar, it’s a high-tech 500D Cordura Nylon fabric that’s been made to look more organic and well, like leather. Cordura’s always been a bit stiff, but now when exposed to more humid environments (like the inside of your back pocket), the material becomes supple and soft to the touch.

Tanner’s Universal Zip Wallet’s Riri zipper opens to a roomy split bill pocket design with two card slots, so you can pack everything you need in your wallet, without having a gigantic bulge in the back pocket of your jeans. Konbu’s a nice alternative to leather in a world of unnatural looking alternatives, and while konbu’s not made from natural materials, you might be fooled by it after some time spent in your pocket.
