A New Pattern With Traditional Inspiration In Corridor’s Dobby Shorts

Uh oh, shorts season is coming, which is (at least for me), one of the most loathsome times of year. Luckily, there are smart folks out there trying to make shorts a little more palatable and lot better looking.

One such brand is Corridor NYC, whose S/S season is populated with beautiful, innovative fabrics, many of which are sourced ethically from weavers in India. Their Olive Dobby Shorts use exactly such a fabric, although this one is pretty subtle.

From a distance, this short looks like any other fatigue short, with its large patch pockets and olive drab hue, but this fabric is actually a dobby. By keeping it all one color, the character of the dobby fabric is very subtle and with one wash, it’s sure to be soft and comfortable from the get-go.

This short is already running low at some our favorite retailers, so you’ll have to act fast if you want to get in on this classic 1980s camp short look.

Available for $148 at Manready Mercantile.
