Alright, I know socks aren’t the most exciting garment in the world but they’re a great way to add something fun and new to your wardrobe without spending an arm and a leg. While I know I am “that guy” for wearing socks with my sandals, I still enjoy spicing up my footwear with colorful new socks during the summer months, and think there are some excellent tie-dyed options out there this season.

1) TOPO Designs: Town Sock in Tie Dye

If you’re looking for a basic pair of socks that just happen to be tie-dyed, then TOPO Designs‘ Town Stock might be right up your alley. They’re a mid-height sock made with a lightweight 80%/17%/3% wool/nylon/spandex blend but with reinforcement at the toe and heel. Shown here in the Black/White colorway, these socks come in a wide range of hues — plus, they’re on sale right now so there’s never been a better time to enter the tie-dye toe game.

2) Anonymous Ism: Scatter Tie Dye Crew Sock

Anonymous Ism is one of the biggest names in socks, so it should come as no surprise that they have some great tie dye options. These made-in-Japan socks are constructed from a 93%/6%/1% cotton/nylon/spandex blend and feature a ribbed opening and extra thick sole to ensure a phenomenal fit. They are pictured in blue but come in other colorways in this blobby tie-dye pattern.

3) Rototo: Tie Dye Sock

Rototo is another name that anyone interested in sock should know, and they have some truly excellent Tie Dye Socks this year. The model pictured is of a lighter-weight variety, made in Japan from a 72%/26%/2% cotton/nylon/polyurethane blend that is sure be to both strong and breathable. They featured a ribbed ankle and are designed to be near seamless.

If you’re only interested in 100% cotton socks, then Gramicci has you covered with their Tie Dye Print Socks. These socks have tie dye around the ankle and foot but with contrasting solid section at the heel, toe, and ankle opening. They’re not cheap, but you get great quality and unique pattern for your spend.

If you want a pair of ultra-lightweight socks that remain strong and durable, then District Vision‘s Yoshi Performance Socks are worth looking at.
