Sun Surf Issues Limited Edition Collab with Hiroshige Utagawa

Are you looking for a rayon shirt to make a statement this Summer? Look no further than this collaborative offering from Sun Surf that will not only catch eyes, but also spark conversation and potentially put someone onto their new favorite artist.

Made in Japan from 100% rayon this menswear classic is adorned with the artwork of Utagawa Hiroshige, who is widely considered to be the last great master of the ukiyo-e woodblock printing tradition. Having created 8,000 prints of everyday life and landscape in Edo-period Japan, Hiroshige has even had his exceptional use of indigo in his work credited as “Hiroshige Blue”. It’s pretty easy to see why and you too can be part of spreading the word of his legacy by rocking this beauty this summer.

As well as the use of the artwork on both the front and back of the garment, other notable features include the white pearl shell buttons and Hiroshige’s signature on the collar.

Available from Hinoya for $255.
