Himel Bros. Splice Sport Jacket & Grizzly Styles with Its Wolverine Special Edition

Beauty is diverse; sexy is subjective, but Himel Bros. Wolverine Jacket is a total knock-out.

Made by the jacket wizards of North America, Himel Bros’ Special Edition Wolverine jacket is a product of the Canadian brand’s deeply sophisticated and arcane ‘what-if’ design process. In this case, “What ff the Grizzly jacket had a baby with the Cossack jacket’. Boom, Himel Bros’ Wolverine jacket was born — a hard-hitting leather jacket named after the fiercest predator in Northern Canada.

The Wolverine — which perfectly balances the schematics of both its Grizzly and Cossack inspirations — features New Old Stock (NOS) 1930s buttons, with buttonholes sewn with Himel Bros’ 1940s Reece 101 buttonhole machines, Japanese replica 1930s Talon front zippers; cow fur-accented horsehide panels with a single large keystone-shaped fur back panel – all constructed with hardy 100% cotton Guterman thread made at one of the last thread companies in New Bedford.

What price does this beyond-end-tier piece come at? A hefty one. But if you think about cost per wear, this jacket will pay for itself. There’s no way this thing isn’t outliving you and maybe even your children. That said, Himel Bros. is very aware that the price tag on its Wolverine jacket may be unachievable for some, so the brand has added a very unique ‘make an offer’ function on the product page. What does this mean? It means that if you haven’t got three bags to drop on a jacket, you can make an offer that’s more in line with your financial situation. However, heed my advice: don’t go trying to lowball the good folks over Himel Bros. Be respectful. This is a work of art, after all.
