3sixteen Blends Liner & Cardigan Silhouettes for a Unique Piece of Alpaca Knitwear

I love it when brands take military inspiration and apply it in a more unusual less predictable way. Case in point? This Alpaca Liner Cardigan from U.S garment giants 3Sixteen.

This heavy cable-knit beauty is made in Peru from a 60%/30%/10% alpaca, wool, nylon blend fabric which will undoubtedly deliver comfort and coziness in fall/winter. Vintage military liner jackets are the muse here, mirrored not only in the shape and fit but wonderful modified onion quilt pattern that runs throughout. The double front hand pockets are a welcome addition, and I’m a sucker for a two-way zip which you rarely see on a cardigan. This  — much like its namesake — would be a glorious layering piece but could just as easily be the stand-alone statement piece of any autumnal fit.

Available in Oak or Bordeaux from Franklin & Poe for $330.
