Wesco Upgrades the Desert Boot with Roughout Leather & a Wedge Sole

Have you ever wished that your humble pair of desert boots were more on the rugged side? Well, the genies over at Wesco are out here granting those wishes with their take on the iconic silhouette.

The Wesco Chukka Boot is instantly recognizable but a closer look will reveal a bunch of tweaks that not only add to their aesthetic but will also prolong their lifecycle. These are made in Oregon where the entire upper is cut from a premium roughout Burlap leather in a duo of textures that are sure to age beautifully.

The thick Vibram Raptor outsole not only gives a more outdoor-ready look but also provides durability, traction, and comfort, and the buckskin lining of the boot definitely adds to the latter. And if you do end up wearing these stompers on the daily ‘cos they’re so comfy, you don’t need to worry about wearing through ’em – these deserts are re-soleable.

The natural edge sole and heel alongside lightweight brown stitching throughout the upper and white outsole stitching are a nice touch, and nickel eyelets round off a great update on a future classic.
