Grant Stone’s Latest Boots are Rough

Grant Stone just dropped a stupidly high-textured leather that’s catapulting 2 of its mainstay silhouettes into a league of their own.

Tanned by Charles F. Stead in England, this ‘Rough Mohawk Suede’ is all about the nap. No, not the concept of a mid-day snooze but the nappy texture that ensures no two pairs are the same. Like suede on steroids, the Rough Mohawk’s finish features a wide range of feels going from highly pronounced to smooth, giving you some serious character right out of the box. A trait that will only evolve with time.

Used on Grant Stone’s Brass and Garrison boots — both of which provide ideal silhouettes to support the eye-catching leather — there is also a nice dose of classic charm thanks to metal hardware, lug soles, and timeless stitch work like the cap-toe of the Garrison and the Moc toe of the Brass. Whether you’re leaning more towards a woodsman look or a military one, you can lace-up assured that you are in some of the most unique leather out there.

Each pair is made on Xiamen Island, China, using Goodyear welt construction that allows the boots to be re-soled should the need arise.

Available at Grant Stone for $380.
