Frank Leder is rolling out a beauty and a beast in the form of their Stand Collar Jacket, a Jekyll and Hyde situation made manifest in”Deutschleder” cotton. For the majority of people reading this who may not have exposure to the German phrase/material/company above, I’ll break it down really quick. Deutschleder is a very dense and very heavy cotton originally made for carpenters. For over 100 years, the same German company has been making this fabric which translates to “German Leather”. The translation is spot on as these jackets needed to be made using leather machinery because normal machines were not strong enough.

Apart from the German leather, the stand collar utilitarian blazer style jacket features 100% leather trim, vintage bakelite buttons, three pockets—two flapped pockets, a single chest pocket, and is unsurprisingly—made in Germany.
