Studio D’Artisan Amami Dorozome Mud Dyed Heavy Flannel Check Work Shirts

It could be argued that every season is flannel season. And looking at this 5678 Heavy Check Workshirt from Japanese titans Studio D’Artisan, you’ll want to keep rocking it no matter how hot it gets.

Made in Japan from exclusive 10 oz. Amami Dorozome mud-dyed flannel, this shirt is imbued with a 1300-year-old technique performed in the iron-rich soil baths on the island of Amami-Oshima, using only the natural extracts derived from the sap, wood chips, and mulch of the native Japanese Hawthorne tree. The resulting fabric features uniquely saturated colors only achievable through this method, before being heavily garment washed for softness and to create a platform on which patina can thrive over time.

This classic slim work shirt fit features 2 button front chest pockets, double button barrel cuffs, natural tagua nut buttons, alongside felled seams, and chain stitching throughout to really ensure that this bad boy will be with you for life — even if you’re in the mud.

Available from Division Road for $295 while stocks last.
