Synthetic indigo prevails in today’s market, but for true cognoscenti, natural indigo is the cream of the crop. Studio D’artisan provides the top shelf with their recently released SD-D07, a 15oz. natural indigo selvedge denim.
Though SDA’s been producing this fabric for a long time, this is the first time they’ve offered it in their Slim Tapered fit. And while natural indigo dyed denim tends to drive prices well above $500, they’re able to keep the cost (relatively) low since they’ve been producing the denim for such a long time. Granted, it’s still a jean that’ll cost you over three bills.
Available for $335 at Okayama Denim.
