Oak Street Bootmakers Indigo Rough-Out Trench Boot Re-release

Chicago’s venerable Oak Street Bootmakers have teamed up yet again with Japanese blogger Bandanna Almanac for a re-release of their blue suede shoes. Expect them to fade in the same unique manner as a pair of high-quality jeans.

The indigo is harvested from Fujino, the rural mountain village beyond the reaches of Tokyo, where it is then imbued into natural rough-out Horween chromexcel leather. The trench boot is constructed in the US, by hand, using the brand’s sturdy Elston last, Dainite soles, and true goodyear welt construction.

We haven’t encountered too many pairs of indigo shoes in our travels, so these would be perfect stand-ins to extend a Canadian tuxedo all the way down to your toes. Available for pre-order through June 7 Oak Street Bookmakers for $548.
