Denim contests are only for those who are serious about getting the best fades out of their denim. Altwins, of Jakarta, Indonesia, was awarded runner-up in the “Indigo Denim Contest 2015”, hosted by southeast Asian forum Darahkubiru, with this pair of The Worker Shield SH 011 X.
After 18 months of daily wear, including hiking and cycling, the fades are a sight to behold. There is significant loss of indigo, especially in the lap, but we still see high-definition fades throughout. Whiskers cover the whole crotch and just look at those grail status honeycombs. On his quest for ultimate fades, Altwins used the abrasive nature of the ocean for one of his washes and even worked out in his jeans! His efforts and commitment emphasize the passion for denim in Indonesia that keeps producing such great heritage pieces.
