Knickerbocker Mfg. Co. Officer Chino Type II

Remember the Magic Eye in the Sunday newspapers? When taking a first close-up glance at Knickerbocker Mfg. Co.‘s unique fabric that comprises their Type II Officer Chino gets a little Magic-y. Turns out it’s just the work of the fabric wizards at KMFG. The 8oz. selvedge cotton twill (woven in Japan) has twisted yarns to create the jaspé effect.

Yes, these are – very subtly – pleated pants, but the throwback is more 1920s than 1990s. In fact, the chinos are designed to take part in Knickerbocker’s Three-Piece Sack Suit (itself modeled on the Brooks Brothers No. 1 Sack Suit, which debuted in 1901). A cinch buckle at the back waist adds to the vintage vibe while helping fine-tune the fit.

Available in Black Salt n’ Pepper or Navy Salt n’ Pepper, you can suit up for $215 c/o Knickerbocker Mfg. Co.
