Alden‘s Indy Boot for Unionmade isn’t an unfamiliar form, but it does take the design to new places. Its all-black silhouette includes black moc-toe stitching and black-edged Commando soles. With its understated sole and slightly narrow toe box, these boots could easily be snuck under a pair of dress slacks to double as office/fancy occasion shoes.

The boot also strikes a different note by forgoing the speed hooks that typically finish off boots of this type: make some extra time in your morning routine for lacing these kickers all the way up to the top. The Indy’s stealth mode does attract a bit of attention with its Regina grain upper, a supple, textured leather that catches the light and breaks in extra-nicely.
