Popular belief often says you have to break the bank to get a pair of top-quality raw denim jeans. However, that’s not always the case. For today’s edition of Fade Of The Day, we have some epic fades coming from a humble pair of Uniqlo‘s Straight Made In Japan jeans, submitted by Michael Soo of Philidelphia.
Michael wears these jeans seven days a week, sometimes up to 18 hours a day. Cycling to work has earned him some killer honeycombs and whiskers, with some notable stressing on the knees. We also have an intense fade on the back pocket, and some subtle stacking appearing on the lower legs.
No washes have been recorded yet, allowing for high contrast fades throughout, but keeping the denim dry and rigid has led to the crotch blowing out a couple of times and needing repairs. Let’s hope that these Uniqlos can survive Michael’s tough schedule for at least another year.
