The Freemans Sporting Club Fall/Winter 2017 Lookbook is Inspired by Basquiat

New York natives Freemans Sporting Club recently released their Fall/Winter 2017 lookbook with some goodies that you can expect in two seasons’ time. The lookbook, and collection itself, takes reference from a photo of Jean-Michel Basquiat taken in 1981 and features graffiti-laden backdrops with layered outfits.

Standouts include the bright orange Italian Casentino wool overshirt, as well as the (made in New York) Chicago Coat with its wide wale corduroy and shearling lapels. The silhouettes are relaxed, but not frumpy, with a little bit of workwear mixed with tailored sensibilities. And, if you want a twofer, there’s the Buffalo Ombre Polartec Lined Reversible Jacket.

Expect the collection to drop on Freemans’ website.
