Fade of the Day – Kojima Genes RNB 1080M (14 Months, 3 Washes, 2 Soaks)

Today marks Japanese brand Kojima Genes’ first appearance in our Fade Of The Day feature, which is surprising considering they’ve been making jeans out of one of Japan’s denim capitals for over 20 years. This pair of RNB 1080M have seen a measured 14 months of wear by Sergio Lepic of the UK, and they’re shaping up nicely.

Sergio spends a lot of time traveling around Europe, wearing these jeans for most of the week as part of his denim rotation. An unfortunate accident involving some pizza meant a wash was required after only three months wear, which means some of the fades have taken slightly longer to develop. That said, the lap has lost a fair bit of indigo, and we’re seeing some strong whiskers and pocket fades.  A few more months of wear should see those honeycombs start to pop, too.
