Fade of the Day – Rogue Territory Strider (15 Months, 1 Wash, 3 Soaks)

Today’s Fade of the Day comes from Shane David Smith and his 15-month-old pair of Rogue Territory 14 oz. Striders. The state of this pair serves as a good reminder that each and every stage throughout the life of a pair of quality, well-made jeans has something unique to offer. We all know a lot of guys that try to warp drive straight to the “sickest of fades,” but there’s a lot to offer between the memorable first wear and the moment you’ve realized your honeycombs broke a few necks at the record store.

You’ve got to take it slow and make sure to savor along the journey. Case in point: this brilliantly electric blue that Shane has coaxed from this pair, a far more kinetic color than they were displaying before their first wash. We see some really good whiskers present, and dark and mysterious honeycombs starting to come into view. Indigo has leached throughout, but enough remains to give these Striders a really special depth.
