Fade of the Day – Naked and Famous Elephant 3 (2 Years, Unknown Washes)

Heavy denim means heavy fades–the perfect pairing. Today’s Fade of the Day are a pair of Naked & Famous Elephant 3, worn for two years straight with no repairs by Cole Deike of the USA.

Committing to heavyweight denim can be difficult, especially during the early months. Even past the initial break-in mark, the sheer amount of material in a pair of jeans like these is a lot to deal with on a regular basis, but that’s exactly what Cole did to achieve these crazy wear marks. And the most notable so far are on the thighs, knees and seat and, of course, the honeycombs that are forming despite the thick denim.

If you can’t tell by the back pockets alone, it’s obvious that Cole isn’t afraid to put his jeans to work and wear them hard. But, perhaps most surprisingly, these haven’t needed any repairs to date. Though we think it may be needed soon if he wants to keep his belongings in his pockets instead of on the sidewalk!
