Fade Friday – Rogue Territory Stanton 15 oz. (4 Years, 4 Washes, 1 Soak)

Its time for Fade Friday, and for this Friday’s dose of indigo, we’ve got this epic pair of Rogue Territory Stanton jeans, coming to us from Heddels reader Reid Collier. Reid has been wearing these RGTs for more than four and a half years, and as well as some heavy-duty fades and dye loss, they’ve picked up some unique repairs along the way.

Hailing from Richmond, Reid is lucky enough to call upon fellow Virgina residents and denim dudes, Shockoe Atelier, to patch up his beat-up jeans with decorative sashiko-style stitching. Many of these repairs are on the lap, which looks as though it had pretty much worn down to a near-white tone before the damage occurred. And the same can be said for the seat, where the back pocket and crotch have needed some serious reinforcements.

There’s barely any indigo dye left in these RGTs, which have seen four washes since their initial soak, but some super-shredded honeycombs have made it through the dye-loss. And it doesn’t look like Reid is ready to retire these Franken-jeans just yet, so the hardy sashiko repairs can make sure he can still rock them for many years to come.
