Fade Friday – Classyland Co Elephant Siger (2 Years, 3 Washes, 1 Soak)

People send us a ton of pictures of their raw denim jeans, and we love them all—keep ’em comin’! However, on occasion we get some images that stop us in our tracks, which is eaxactly what we’ve got here: jeans so good we had to make them the focus of our Fade Friday, the best of the week.

Reja Nevada, of Indonesia, is the owner of this special collection of fades. Reja didn’t tell us much about his Classyland Co. Elephant Siger’s but he did say that he does a lot of heavy walking in them, as well as mountain climbing. Ding ding ding. Either way, the fades are hall-of-fame caliber: super high contrast whiskers from the lap to the shin, only broken by heavy indigo loss at the thigh, and more of the same around back alongside some of the best honeycombs you will gaze your eyes on. The overall depletion of indigo—sans the retention in the folds of the jeans—gives the jeans a perfect patina. Now, to wear these or frame them to hang on the wall?
