Fade Friday – Pure Blue Japan XX-020 (20 Months, 4 Washes, 1 Soaks)

It’s time for another Fade Friday here at Heddels, and this time around, we’re bringing you a pair of Pure Blue Japan XX-020’s sent in by R. Satria Surya Candra, who hails from the Mecca of fades, Indonesia. After a little over a year-and-a-half, some impressive personalization has taken hold, and bragging rights have been earned.

Daily college life mixed in with some hikes to waterfalls and beach washes have forged some tight and contrasty honeycombs, which pairs well with the equally defined whiskering in the lap down through the knees. In their short time in action, they’ve taken on a pallet of blues, from the remaining dark blue indigo to a light baby blue verging on white. Stacking has become apparent in the ankles, and with so much indigo left, there’s a lot of room left for heavier contrasting.

No repairs have been needed, but the crotch looks like it has some heavy wear and there’s some distressing from cuffing as well. That being said, these bad boys have a lot of life left in them and solid potential for future fades, if tended to properly.
