Let’s solve a quick riddle. What do you get when you take $40, buy a wallet, and then use it for 10 years?

The answer is… today’s Fade of the Day! Ching Feng Chen of Taiwan sent in this Fossil Traveler wallet he bought backs in high school for $40 and has used consistently since. His efforts have earned him a beautiful end product, which proves that sometimes leather is more about the hours of wear than the dollars you spend.

The interior and exterior were both once a nice caramel brown, but as the years passed, the outside has taken a beating, leaving it a much darker hickory shade with black around the edges. Chin Feng never expected a $40 wallet would last this long, but needless to say, he’s happy with how it turned out.
