Viberg Stitches Up Horsehide Sneakers

After five years of preparation, Viberg has finally entered the sneaker world. The North-American boot makers have spent half a decade sourcing new machinery and conjuring up various samples inspired by athletic footwear across the years, and the result is this pair of robust horsehide sneakers.

Entering the game as the only pair of sneakers manufactured entirely in Canada, these kicks are built in Viberg’s in-house Victoria factory. The upper is constructed from contrasting panels of smooth and roughout horsehide from Italy and fortified with soft padding at the tongue and collar. This highly textured upper sits upon a tonal Vibram Sphike RGS Sole – a tough unit with a raised profile and trapezoidal lugs for superior comfort and traction on any terrain.

Finished with a heavyweight leather insole, kip lining, and removable footbed, these Viberg sneakers come in two colorways – black and seed – and thread with linen laces.

Available at Viberg for $490.
