America’s favorite hiking boot brand, Danner, is mixing things up this fall with their Mountain 600 Chelsea.
In this boot, it all begins with the midsole—the part that actually supports your foot—which has been taken from Danner’s well-loved Mountain 600 series. A Vibram outsole that mimics the grip and comfort of your favorite running shoe rounds out the bottom half of the boot and a leather Chelsea-style upper completes the top. Grippy as hell and well-built from the ground up, this lightweight sneaker/boot guarantees protection from the elements and ease of wear. An ariaprene collar, military webbing, and convenient pull tabs allow you to easily slip off the full-grain leather shoe—but then you’d have to take off your new favorite shoes.
Like all of Danner’s products, there’s a lot going on under the hood, but that isn’t really what the Mountain 600 Chelsea is about.
