Remember when those zip-off cargo pants were the ultimate middle school fashion flex? Well, these MA65 Front Cargo Pants from Maharishi aren’t those. These steal the zip-off joints’ lunch money for an entire school year and get thanked for doing so. These put other cargo pants into lockers and they trick those pants into painting fences for them.
Made from an Italian-milled 100% cotton fabric and equipped with a series of thoughtful details, this rugged design mines midcentury military styles for inspiration, but updates them in all the right ways.
For starters, this take has a waistband that can be affixed in three different ways—so whether you’re a belt loop, a suspenders or a button tab kind of person, these can accommodate. They also have articulated knees for a decidedly modern silhouette, and M65 pocket straps that can tie around the cargo pockets to keep your goods from jostling around or can be seamlessly hidden in the cargo pockets via concealed button holes.
Elsewhere, these pants feature slanted flap pockets at the front, flapped pockets at the back, classic cargo pockets at the legs, a stash pocket near the cuff and an adjustable hem for good measure.
Available for $300 at Blue in Green.
