There are thermal shirts. And then, there are thermal shirts. Stevenson Overall Co.’s is the latter italicized one. If you’d prefer to be warm through winter without having to look like Ralphie’s little brother from A Christmas Story—a tick about to pop—then a thermal is a good way to keep your status as ‘alive’ without packing on a ton of layers.

Stevenson’s latest is aptly named the Absolutely Amazing Merino Wool Thermal Shirt, and it may as well be a sweater. Using a honeycomb woven jersey knit, the wintery undergarment is made with 100% merino wool and is sewn with raglan sleeves, ribbed collar and sleeves. You might still want a cotton layer underneath it if wool bothers you, but these guys are supremely soft off the bat. But, it’s gonna cost you a pretty penny.
