SoSo Presents the New Denim Heavyweight Champion, Weighing 33.14oz.

Weighing in at 33.14 ounces, SOSO’s latest jeans are officially the heavyweight denim champions of the world, overtaking the previous champion, Naked & Famous, whose 32oz. Raw Denim held the title since 2012. It’s been roughly 7 years since anyone, let alone the craftspeople at SOSO (and the folks that tweak their sewing machines) decided to wrestle with some record-setting denim.

Milled in China on GA1515 shuttle looms, SOSO’s proprietary fabric is made using 100% Xinjiang cotton yarns, rope-dyed in indigo, and features a red line selvedge, visible at the cuff and coin pocket. These jeans look rigid even without soaking, stiff enough to stand up on their own, you’re really getting an indigo-dyed sculpture for your closet.

Save for some limitations due the denim’s extreme weight, you can customize these blue behemoths to the nth degree. From the waist and length to the leg opening, pockets, belt loops, selvedge placement, and other details, you’re not bound by a stock jean which may or may not fit you. Get on it quickly, though, because the first batch is only limited to 50 pairs.

Available starting from $349 at SOSO denim.
