Kiro Hirata’s Kapital recently turned the tide back to the ’70s with a collection and lookbook which channeled Bob Marley’s Jamaica. We covered the ‘Yardie Blues’ shoot recently (shot by resident Kapital photographer Eric Kvatek) but we wanted to give the garments themselves some air time.
A standout piece from the collection is the Bob Marley Wide-Leg Printed Jeans which oozes ’70s reggae vibes and Bob Marley style cues. With a sewn-in center crease, orange stitching and bright blue indigo denim, it directly pays homage to Bob Marley with a screen print along both outer leg seams. While this detail may not be for everyone, Kapital has never done things in half measures. They also feature a zip fly, 7 belt loops, 4 pockets and back pocket patch with graphic. They come with a wide leg and low rise style that are sure to produce some groovy fades and ride that ’70s waves that’s hot right now. As you’d expect, they’re also made in Japan.
