There are faded jeans, and then there are gnarly creations borne seemingly from another dimension of time and space. Today’s Fade of the Day is much closer to the latter than the former, in this writer’s humble estimation.

This pair of Momotaro x Blue Owl Workshop 0601-20SP jeans come to us from Ian Grindstaff of Rochester, NY, who says he wore them for barbacking, printing, and sewing. The combination of a slim cut, 20 oz. denim, and 10 washes helped these jeans progress along to the point of taking on a life of their own. The crotch has blown out, there’s a strong Zippo fade in the watch pocket, Ian’s phone and wallet have left their marks, and the honeycombs are insane.
