You might not think “understated” when you think of Kapital, but the brand best known for garish prints and patchwork pieces, makes its fair share of basics.

This might be a restock, but Kapital has recently restocked their New York supplier, Blue in Green with a full size run of its iconic, understated 5P Monkey Cisco Indigo Jeans. These come in a 5p (five-pocket) traditional style and are cut in their Monkey Cisco fit, an improved version of the old Cisco with more room in the seat and thighs. Don’t fear, though, this well-tuned fit still has enough taper to keep it tailored, but wide enough to accommodate your favorite boots. The rinsed denim began life at 13.75oz. and got a touch heavier after its first soak. Its extra-deep hue takes quite a bit of work and its half-lined pockets show just how well-engineered these bad boys are.
