Fade Friday – Unbranded UB451 (~2 Years, 2 Soaks)

Our inbox is like a box of chocolates: some days, we’ll get crazy stories about readers who’ve done everything from welding to fishing, partying, moshing, and motorcycle riding in their jeans. Other times, we’ll get a mysterious submission that leaves us guessing just how you, our faithful denim heads, have achieved such sick fades, and this week’s Fade Friday is the latter. Seriously…we can’t even find much info on the model number!

Bangkok-based reader Natthanon Nuangthong has been donning these Unbranded UB451 jeans for one year and 11 months and counting, and in that time he’s racked up some decent whiskers and honeycombs, among other crinkling and fades. After just two soaks and no washes yet, it’s no wonder that this pair has retained a lot of the original deep indigo. Those nice gradients at the seat and thighs are on their way to the high-contrast wall of fame though. Lastly, there’s that leather back patch, which features a subtle patina and an imprint from the seams underneath.

We’re still throwing around suggestions about how these jeans acquired their even fades and whiskers – does Natthanon wear them every day to a desk job, or does he wear them on the regular as a crime-fighting vigilante?! We’re taking bets! (OK, not really.)
