Fade Friday – Studio D’artisan SD-106 (28 Months, 4 Washes, 1 Soak)

This week’s fade of the day comes to use from Paul Chow in Singapore who is bringing a well seasoned pair of Studio D’artisan jeans to the table. If you are looking for the perfect fade recipe, it don’t exist! However, Paul’s might be the closest thing we got. Equal parts cycling, traveling, and hiking mixed with about two and a half years of dedicated wear, baked in the ‘fade oven’ known as Singapore, and garnished with four washes and one soak. A perfect fade every time! Now lets sink our teeth into these fades.

All the usual suspects are here but in elevated ways, making this pair truly special.  The whiskers are ethereal yet have strong shadows. The thighs are bright and totally washed out. The knees look like craters left by denim meteors. The honeycombs are like infinity pools of indigo goodness. It’s easy to forget that we have the easy part, admiring fades. Paul on the other hand had to work hard to get his jeans to where they are now. Thank you Paul. Looking forward to the next recipe.
