Pure Blue Japan Serves Up an Indigo-Dyed HBT Chore With A Double Button Placket

Another indigo chore coat I hear you cry? Yes, you’re damn right. Japanese too? You betcha. We’re in the business of chore coats here at Heddels (we’re not really – we don’t make them or anything) and this tasty little number from Pure Blue Japan straight-up knocked our indigo socks off.

The Indigo HBT Short Chore Jacket is a nimble piece of outerwear that gives the illusion of a textbook double-breasted workwear jacket from the turn of the century. The secret is, it’s only single-breasted (ssssh…). Made from a specially developed herringbone fabric by PBJ and featuring oxidized metal buttons, y’all know the wear potential with this one. With a pocket configuration typical of your favorite chore coat, but with just enough subtle details to grab your attention and be different, it comes in a one-wash for minimal shrinkage and a slim fit silhouette.

Great as a light jacket in the warmer months and a layering piece for fall, you can give this year-round wear and it’ll look all the better for it.
